A single-vineyard, full-bodied Cabernet.

Our 2006 vintage is 100% single-vineyard Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon and a mere 192 cases were produced. On the nose you'll discover blackberry, currant, cocoa, anise, sage and mint; the full-bodied palate is rife with youthful tannins that fall into line with the fruit and acidity after considerable decanting. Definitely a wine for the cellar, but if you can't wait, please allow several hours of decanting time.

Vintage Notes:	The fruit for our 2006 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a single vineyard source. This mountain-influenced vineyard has daytime temperatures ranging from 10-15 degrees cooler than the valley floor below. The volcanic soil creates tremendous stress on the vines, resulting in smaller grapes with concentrated fruit flavors and big tannins.
Winemaker Notes:	The grapes were hand-sorted and gently crushed to stainless steel fermentors. Pumpovers were done as gently as possible to avoid undesirable harsh tannin extraction. Pressed at dryness to 90% new French oak, 10% used French oak and aged for 26 months.
