We’re looking forward to the exciting year ahead, especially with our Italy-focused, Gold-Medal Wine Cruise including Cosentino Winery, Girard Winery and Kunde Family Estate. We’ll get to explore the Mediterranean while showcasing Cosentino, Girard and Kunde wines through private, blind tastings, winemaker dinners and educational oenophile-friendly seminars.
Join us March 8th, when we host the "Captain’s Table LIVE!" Tasting with Cosentino Winemaker, Mitch Cosentino, Girard Vintner, Pat Roney, and Kunde Family Estate’s own, Jeff Kunde! They’ll be tasting through each wineries flagship wine- Cosentino’s 2006 The Poet, Girard’s 2009 Artistry and Kunde Family Estates’s 2008 Reserve Century Vines Zinfandel. You’ll have an opportunity to interact with them online via live stream, ask them questions about what to anticipate aboard the cruise, the amazing destinations planned, and get to know the wines on a more intimate level. To experience this tasting along with Jeff, Pat and Mitch, we are offering you the Captain’s Collection trio which includes one bottle of each: 2006 Cosentino The Poet, Napa Valley - Rich aromas of currants and blueberries with a distinct nuance of cedar and spice. The finish develops nicely, highlighting pomegranate, spice and polished ripe tannins. 2009 Girard Artistry, Napa Valley - Aromas of toasted hazelnuts and cigar box. Boysenberries saturate the palate aside flavors of exotic bing cherries. Well-structured tannins round out this vintage with a beautiful tobacco and spice finish. 2008 Kunde Family Estate Reserve Century Vines Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley - Hand-crafted from 126 year old vines, this big full-flavored Zinfandel offers lovely aromatics of boysenberry and black pepper. It is a great way to try the wines alongside our live tasting on February 2nd or give as a gift to the Travel-lover in your life! It’ll have you wanting to cruise the Mediterranean instantly!
