Tasting Notes
Aromas of dried herbs mingle with licorice aromas, and intense scents of dark plum, and black cherries. On the palate black currant, brown sugar and savory flavors lead to a spicy finish punctuated by oak vanillin and velvety tannins.

Vintage Notes
The Vineyard, 400 feet in elevation on Mount Veeder’s southerly side enjoys morning sunshine and daytime temperatures cooler than the valley floor below; affording extended hang-time and supple fruit with balanced acid, sugar and flavor accumulation at harvest.

Vineyard Notes
The 2015 vintage was marked by another year of drought in the Napa Valley. While quality was high, yields were low. Fortunately, that which we did harvest was endowed with depth of character, and concentrated flavors. We were able to pick at phenolic ripeness while maintaining moderate sugar levels, affording us the chance to craft wines with moderate alcohol, lively acidity and bright fruit flavors.
