Vintage Notes
The 2016 vintage for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon remained on track with previous years in terms of smaller yields of slightly smaller clusters. The quality of the lower yields remained high, in spite of early concerns about the few heat spikes during early summer months. Fortunately, cooler August temperatures slowed ripening to a luxurious pace which allowed us to harvest each parcel at optimal ripeness.

Vineyard Notes
This Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from an Atlas Peak vineyard at the top of the appellation. This vineyard produces small berries of Cab that lend toward big, structured tannins. The appellation is so distinctive, we’ve made a wine from the Atlas Peak AVA since 2005 to showcase the region’s unique character.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in color with a nose redolent with black currant, blackberry preserves and a hint of savory tobacco. The palate reveals flavors of vanilla, sweet oak toast and more fresh berry flavors dusted with cocoa. The bold finish is laced with both ripe and abundant tannins with a hint of cigar box spice.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
