Vintage Notes
The 2016 vintage remained on track with previous years in terms of smaller yields of slightly smaller clusters. The quality of the lower yields remained high, in spite of early concerns about the few heat spikes during early summer months. Fortunately, cooler August temperatures slowed ripening to a luxurious pace which allowed us to harvest each parcel at optimal ripeness.

Vineyard Notes
This wine is a blend from two distinctive vineyards; Juliana Vineyard in the northeast region of the Napa Valley, and King Vineyard located in the adjacent Suisun Valley.

Tasting Notes
On the nose this wine reveals hallmark characteristics of Petit Verdot: jasmine, white blossoms and blue fruit. The palate is bold with flavors of espresso, blackberry cobbler, and hints of caraway spice. The tannin structure of Petit Verdot lends it as a powerful blending component in many Bordeaux style wines. Bottled on its own, Petit Verdot showcases those flashy blueberry, blackberry and baking spice characteristics across an expansive palate, with an everlasting finish.

100% Petit Verdot.
