Vintage Notes
The 2017 growing season was a bit of a roller-coaster with heavy winter rains leading to vigorous vine growth in spring. Bloom came early, in parallel with an eclectic range of springtime temperatures. Moderate early summer temperatures gave way to several heat waves throughout the summer and into fall, heightening the rate of ripening and flavor development in the grapes, and ushering in a slightly early harvest.

Vineyard Notes
Sourced from a variety of vineyards throughout the North Coast, each selected for their high-quality fruit and unique flavor and aromatic characteristics they lend to the blend.

Tasting Notes
The nose is redolent with aromas of white peach, nectarine, quince and elderflower. The palate reveals stone fruit flavors, mineral notes and hints of lemon zest. The zingy acidity affords a crisp and expansive finish for pure sipping pleasure.

About This Wine
A white wine complement to our ever-popular Mixed Blacks. When immigrants first settled in California, they brought with them cuttings from their villages and planted what would later become known as field blends. Harvested and blended together, they were common before the rise of single varietal wines. Much harder to find today, they are our tribute to a California winemaking tradition.
